Everyday since the day you were born, you’ve always grown up with some type of electrical/mechanic machinery. Whether it be some type of entertainment system such as music, games, t.v, etcetera, or modes of transportation and daily life; you were never away from technology. Have you ever wondered who creates and/or designs it? Ever since I was a kid I’ve grown up near technology like most people in a first-world society, and every since I was young I’ve always had a sense of interest in designing and maintaining technology. Mostly this interest came from my dad, he introduced me to the computer, mp3, I’ve sat and watched him repair computers or build them from scratch.
When I hit 4th grade I began to wonder who designed everything that I’ve grown up with and eventually I researched it and found out that all the complex technology were designed from multiple types of engineer. After talking about it with my dad I gradually began to find interest in Electrical and Video Game Engineering.
Electrical engineering because they design, build, and maintain basic necessities for a house such as: Lighting, Heating/Cooling system, types of machinery to either clean clothes, keep food preserved, etcetera. Electrical engineering is also probably one of the most interesting jobs to take nowadays in my own personal opinion.

I also found Video Game Engineering enjoyable because one of the first piece of technology that I found interest in was probably either the Gameboy or Nintendo 64. Then it went to the Gameboy color and Playstation 1 and so on. Ever since i can remember I’ve been engrossed in video games, from simple lego puzzle games, to horror shooting games like resident evil, and real-time strategy games. There has never been a time, for more than 2 weeks, in my life that I have never been on the computer or any type of game machine. Although C and C++ computer programming may be difficult to memorize, I think that it would be worth it in the long run.
